When I was 22 years old, I moved to Mission Beach on Salem Court. I absolutely loved it there. In fact, those were probably 7 of the very happiest years of my entire life. If I only had a time machine.
There is nothing on this planet like waking up every single morning and hearing the crashing of the waves on the beach. The salt in the air. Amazing place to live.

After Mission Beach, I moved to Emerald Street in the middle of Pacific Beach. I liked it there. I didn’t love it like Mission Beach but I liked it. For walk-ability, this is the best location to be in the entire Pacific Beach and Mission Beach community. Everything as far as shops, gas stations, grocery stores, the bars, the restaurants, the farmers market, it’s all right there. Anything within a couple blocks of Garnet Avenue. Keep in mind the noise level is higher and that’s were most of the notorious parties take place.

From there, I moved to Riviera Drive in the Sail Bay and Crown Point area. Absolutely loved it there. It was similar to my Mission Beach location in that the sand was just steps away except it was the sand on the bay instead of the ocean. Sail Bay is unique in that it has specific water / wake restrictions on speed boats during the daytime hours. The end result is you usually get a very calm and peaceful bay to enjoy. There are also volleyball courts and Felspar park to enjoy. I really liked it there.
