The Top 9 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Moved To San Diego

January 14, 2023 by Wesley Guest

Moving to a new city can be an exciting, but also overwhelming experience. If you’re planning on moving to San Diego, there are a few things you should know before making the big move. Here are nine things we wish we knew before we moved to San Diego:

  1. The weather is amazing, but it’s also very dry. If you’re coming from a humid climate, be prepared for your skin and hair to feel a bit dry. Investing in a humidifier and using moisturizing products can help combat this.
  2. Traffic can be a nightmare. San Diego is a large city, and unfortunately, the traffic can be a bit of a headache. Plan your routes carefully and try to avoid rush hour if possible.

  1. Public transportation is not great. While San Diego does have buses and the trolley, it’s not the most convenient way to get around the city. If you don’t have a car, you may want to consider other options such as ride-sharing or using a bike-sharing service.
  2. Rent is expensive. San Diego is a popular city, and unfortunately, that means rent can be on the high side. Make sure to budget accordingly and be prepared to pay more for a place to live than you might be used to.

  1. There’s always something to do. San Diego is home to a wide range of activities, from outdoor adventures to cultural events. No matter what you’re into, you’ll find something to do in this city.
  2. The beach is always packed. San Diego is home to some beautiful beaches, but they can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. If you’re looking for a more secluded spot, consider checking out one of the many smaller, lesser-known beaches in the area.
  3. The Mexican food is amazing. San Diego is located just a few miles from the border, and as a result, there is a huge selection of delicious Mexican restaurants to choose from. Don’t miss out on the chance to try some authentic Mexican cuisine.

WHY WORK WITH THE WESLEY TYLER REAL ESTATE GROUP?

  1. The cost of living is high. San Diego is a popular city, and as a result, the cost of living is higher than in some other parts of the country. Be prepared to pay more for groceries, rent, and other necessities.
  2. It’s a very diverse city. San Diego is home to a wide range of cultures, and as a result, it’s a very diverse city. You’ll find people from all walks of life living and working in San Diego, which makes it a very welcoming and inclusive place to live.

Overall, moving to San Diego can be a great experience, but it’s important to be prepared for some of the challenges you may face. With a little bit of planning, you can make the most of your time in this beautiful and vibrant city.
