Covid-19 And Real Estate As It Pertains To San Diego

This blog and the embedded video are about Covid-19 and real estate as it pertains to San Diego and my experience as an agent navigating this pandemic. I recognize things are extremely fluid and changing by the minute. Please keep this in mind as information could change drastically.

What I do know: Buyers are still buying homes and sellers are selling. We are in unprecedented times so nobody knows exactly what the future might hold. As the stock market declines, the mortgage interest rates remain at near all time lows, and the market is busy.

Please check out the video embedded above to see the latest statistics and how they look.

Search for San Diego homes, condos, and town homes for sale here…

Agents can show homes and condos responsibly, and many continue to do so on behalf of buyers who believe they may have the opportunity now, or sellers who cannot wait weeks or even months to resume their sales plans.

Agents who tour properties with buyers today have extensive precautions in place: Booties for shoes, alcohol wipes for door knobs (no one was touching them), hand sanitizer or hand washing at both the beginning and the end of the showing, and of course face masks. Many listing agents conducted showings wearing disposable gloves.

That being said, not everyone wants to leave the relative safety of their home and I 100% get that.

Several great questions I have received are answered below:

  1. Can you view a home without leaving your house?

Yes! We can offer Virtual Tours, Zoom/Face time, and 360 Imaging.

  • Can you submit an offer without seeing your Realtor in person?

Yes! We can discuss every aspect of your real estate transaction over the phone and we accept e-signatures for signing documents.

No epidemic lasts forever, and everyone will still need a place to live when this one passes.
